A closer look at their backgrounds shows this is not entirely a fresh batch of newcomers either, with at least two contestants bringing prior reality-show pedigree to the competition. The new season’s promos have introduced singers from across the country, each performing on the show’s elaborate new set under the Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan theme. Below are the five contestants named and shown so far.
Shivani Swami arrives on the national stage with a trophy already in hand. The Bidar singer won Zee Kannada’s regional edition of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2025, taking home a Rs 15 lakh cash prize after beating runner-up Aradhya Rao and third-place finisher Rashmi Dharmendra in the finale. That regional title makes her one of the more experienced names among the contestants revealed so far, and it shows in the promo, where she holds her own on the show’s centre-stage set backed by the full live orchestra.
Representing Wayanad in Kerala, Minha Fatima is one of the contestants drawing attention for bringing a distinct regional voice to the competition, a hallmark of this season’s push to widen its talent search beyond the usual metro hubs.
Durgesh Yadav comes in from Mau in Uttar Pradesh and appears in the promo seated at the harmonium, accompanying his own vocals, a detail that has already made him one of the more talked-about names among the confirmed line-up.
Mir Zulfikar hails from Bikaner in Rajasthan, a city with a long-standing folk and Sufi singing tradition of its own. He appears in a traditional turban in his introduction clip, part of a segment that leaned heavily on folk-style vocal performances from the western region.
Closing out the confirmed list is Sairaj Khati, who grew up in Mirik in the Darjeeling hills of West Bengal. He is no stranger to the reality show circuit either, having previously competed as a top 10 contestant on Zee Bangla’s own Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and later reaching the top 5 of Mero Voice Universe, a Nepali-language international singing competition that draws contestants from the Nepali-speaking diaspora, a natural fit given Mirik’s large Gorkha community. That background shows in the promo, where he delivers one of the more energetic, animated performances of the clip.
With Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 built around a much larger stage and orchestra than previous seasons, the full contestant roster is expected to be considerably longer than the five names confirmed so far.
