Allie Rae is a 15-year-old singer from Santa Fe, Texas, who sang “Black Velvet” in her blind audition on The Voice Season 30 and became Riley Green’s First-In pick for Team Riley. On October 19 she won her Battle against Harmony McKee, so she is still in the competition heading into Cut Week.
Three coaches turned for her, but she never had to choose. Riley pressed his once-a-season First-In button while Kelly Clarkson was still pitching, which put Allie on his team on the spot. Last updated on October 20, 2026, after Battles Part 3.

Allie took on Alannah Myles’ rock hit “Black Velvet” on the fourth night of the Blind Auditions. Riley Green hit his button almost as soon as she started. Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah turned later in the song, and Adam Levine stayed facing the audience.
The feedback focused on how natural the song sounded on her. Kelly said parts of her vibrato reminded her of Dolly Parton and other moments of Alison Krauss. Queen Latifah said the song seemed to come naturally to her. Riley liked that she took a rock song and pulled it toward blues, country and Americana, and said he had no doubt she could stand out this season.
Season 30 swapped the Block for a First-In button. Each coach can use it once in the Blind Auditions, and when they press it the artist joins that coach’s team straight away, with no pitches and no choice. Riley was the last of the four coaches to use his, and he saved it for Allie. Kelly, who also comes from Texas, was in the middle of her pitch when he pressed it.
Kelly used her own First-In on Johnnie Kapua and Adam used his on Amanda Mikkel. Read how each coach used it in our guide to the Season 30 coaches, and see what else changed this year in our Cut Week and First-In explainer.
Riley paired Allie with fellow Team Riley singer Harmony McKee, 19, from Medina, Tennessee, in Battles Part 3 on Monday, October 19. They sang Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine”, with Carly Pearce advising Team Riley in rehearsals. Riley kept his First-In pick, and Harmony McKee was eliminated after no other coach used a Steal on her.
Every Battle from that night, including Adam Levine’s Steal of Brandon Diaz, is on our Season 30 Battles results page, and the full list of who has gone home is on our Voice eliminations tracker.
Cut Week is the next round, on Monday, November 2 as a two-hour episode at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. Each coach sends two artists straight to the live shows, the other five on the team compete for one more place, and America votes one extra artist in to make a Top 13. To reach the live shows, Allie has to be one of Riley’s two direct picks, win the five-artist fight on Team Riley, or be the artist America votes in.
Before that, Battles Part 4 airs on Monday, October 26 at 8 p.m. ET. Air times and streaming options are in our how to watch The Voice Season 30 guide, and everyone still on Team Riley is in the Season 30 contestants list with photos.
