How to Vote for Bigg Boss 20: Complete, Easy Guide
Voting for Bigg Boss 20 is simple, but a few steps trip people up every week. Follow this clean, updated process to make sure your vote actually counts.
1. Download or Update the JioHotstar App
The only official way to vote for Bigg Boss 20 is through the JioHotstar app. There is no separate voting website, no missed-call number and no SMS option this season.
- Install it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or update it if you already have it installed.
- An outdated version of the app is the most common reason the voting tab fails to load, so update it before the episode airs.
2. Register or Log In Using Your Mobile Number
Once the app is open:
- Log in or sign up using your mobile number.
- Enter the OTP sent to your phone to verify the account. This keeps the vote tied to a genuine number.
3. Search for Bigg Boss 20 and Open the Voting Section
After logging in:
- Use the search icon and type Bigg Boss 20, then open the official show page.
- Tap the Vote tab on the show page. It lists every contestant currently up for elimination that week.
4. Select Your Favourite Contestant and Submit Your Vote
- Tap the name or photo of the contestant you want to save.
- Confirm the vote when the app prompts you.
- Watch for the on-screen confirmation message. That’s your vote counted.
5. Know the Voting Window and the Rules
- Voting for a given week’s nominees generally opens once nominations are locked in, typically early in the week, and closes on Friday morning ahead of the Weekend Ka Vaar results.
- Each account gets a capped number of votes per day, and the limit resets daily.
- Voting is completely free and restricted to numbers registered in India.
- There is no public live tally. Any “leading” or “trending” percentage you see on fan sites is that site’s own unofficial poll, not the real JioHotstar count.
Be wary of any third-party site or message asking you to pay for “extra votes” or a “voting boost.” JioHotstar voting is free, and anything charging money for it is a scam.
6. Tips to Make Sure Your Vote Counts
- Vote early in the week instead of waiting for the Friday deadline, when the app tends to slow down under traffic.
- Stay logged in so you are not stuck waiting on a fresh OTP every time.
- Use the same registered number each week for consistency.
- Keep the app updated so the vote tab does not glitch or disappear mid-week.
Why Your Vote Matters
Bigg Boss has always run on audience power, and this season is no different. With three housemates already staring at eviction this week, viewer votes are the only thing standing between a contestant and an early exit. If you want to see your favourite go further in the house, this is the window to act.
