The four Battle Advisors on The Voice Season 30 are Patti LaBelle for Team Queen Latifah, Carly Pearce for Team Riley Green, Alex Warren for Team Adam Levine and Ariana DeBose for Team Kelly Clarkson. They join their coaches for the Battles, which start on Monday, October 12 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, with episodes streaming on Peacock the next day.
Two of the four have been around The Voice before, and two are making their debut. Here is who mentors each team, what each advisor brings and what the role involves. This page is updated as the Battles air. Last updated on October 8, 2026.

In the Battles, two artists from the same team sing against each other, and the coach picks who moves on. The advisor is a guest mentor who works alongside the coach during rehearsals, giving the artists feedback on their song choices, performance and stage presence. NBC describes the role as support for both the coaches and the artists as teammates go head to head.
The advisors are not the ones who decide the winners. As in previous seasons, that call stays with the coach.
Patti LaBelle, often called the Godmother of Soul, is from Philadelphia and has been one of the defining voices of R&B for decades. She is no stranger to the show, having served as a Battle Advisor in Season 10, when she worked with Christina Aguilera’s team.
The pairing with Queen Latifah is personal. According to executive producer Audrey Morrissey, as reported by TV Insider, Patti was Queen Latifah’s own mentor, which made her the coach’s first choice for her team. In a sneak peek, Patti tells artists to let the performance be everything it needs to be, and jokes that even a song someone calls ugly is still yours.
Carly Pearce, a country singer-songwriter born in Taylor Mill, Kentucky, broke through with the 2017 single Every Little Thing. She has won a Grammy and released the album Hummingbird, which includes the Chris Stapleton duet We Don’t Fight Anymore.
The Voice is familiar ground for her. She performed on the show in Seasons 21 and 22 and was a Playoff Advisor for Michael Bublé in Season 26. She now mentors Riley Green, a fellow country artist and one of two first-time coaches this season.
Alex Warren is a 26-year-old singer and songwriter who first became known online as a YouTuber and TikTok creator. His 2025 single Ordinary reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for 10 weeks, turning him into one of the year’s biggest new pop stars.
This is his first time on The Voice as an advisor, and he joins Adam Levine, who is back for his nineteenth season as a coach.
Ariana DeBose won the 2022 Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for playing Anita in West Side Story. Before film she built her career on stage, with Broadway roles including Hamilton and A Bronx Tale, and she sang in Disney’s Wish in 2023.
Kelly Clarkson revealed the choice in an Extra interview, saying her team needed someone who could cover many genres and calling DeBose a triple threat. DeBose said she first thought she was being punked, but was excited to mentor the artists.
The Battles begin on Monday, October 12 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. After the Battles comes Cut Week, a new round that replaces the Knockouts: each coach sends two artists straight to the live shows, and five others on the team compete for the last spot. See our guide on how to watch The Voice Season 30 for every date, air time and streaming option.
The advisors will help the 48 artists who made it through the blind auditions, 12 on each team. You can meet every one of them in our Voice Season 30 contestants list with photos, including the 61-year-old Kyle Davis, the oldest artist to earn a four-chair turn. Want to back a favourite?
