Four contestants were selected in the first Roadies Rebirth audition episode, and all four joined the OG team: Preet from Gurgaon, Sneha from Kolkata, Shine from Shimla and Karishma Talwar from Dehradun. Hrietik Walia from Delhi and Allen Chaudhary failed to make the cut after facing criticism from the gang leaders and host Rannvijay Singha. While Hrietik was questioned over the statements he had made in his application form, Allen was criticised for allegedly promoting a negative influence through his social media content.

Karishma Talwar is not new to the Roadies world. She was a contestant on Splitsvilla 8 in 2015, the season Prince Narula also took part in, and Prince is now one of the OG gang leaders. We do not yet have confirmed surnames or ages for Preet, Sneha and Shine, so we list first names and cities only and will add more when they are confirmed.

How the Roadies Rebirth Selection Works
The six gang leaders no longer pick alone. The OG team (Nikhil Chinapa, Neha Dhupia and Prince Narula) and the NewG team (Abhishek Malhan, Bani J and Baseer Ali) each get a budget of 1,00,000 Roadiums, the show’s currency. A team has to spend Roadiums to win a contestant, who then becomes a Roadie on their side for the journey.

MTV has not published the Season 21 rulebook, so we only describe what we have seen on air and will fill in the details as more episodes show how the Mohar and the snatch button work.
How Roadies Selected Contestants in Season 19
The bidding idea is not new. In Season 19, Karm Ya Kaand (2023), an aspirant needed at least two votes from the gang leaders to enter an auction, and the gang leaders then bid in Roadiums. A red buzzer meant a gang leader had rejected the aspirant. Special powers that season included Kaand, which let a contestant choose their gang leader once the bid reached 2,000 Roadiums. These rules are from an earlier season, so they may not match Roadies Rebirth.
