Each couple’s total adds up their judges’ scores from every dance. How DWTS Season 35 Scoring Works
- The judges: Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli each score every dance out of 10, so a dance is worth up to 30 points.
- Super Bowl Night: guest judge Joe Buck added a fourth score, which made that night’s total out of 40.
- Viewer votes: the judges’ scores are combined with viewer votes each week to decide who stays, so a high score does not guarantee safety. Learn how to vote in our DWTS Season 35 voting guide.
