He was raised by his parents and received a good education. He graduated from Don Bosco High School and McGill University, Canada. After finishing his graduation there, he came to India, his home country, and graduated from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.

Peyush always wanted to be a successful entrepreneur, and he followed his dreams to set his career. His first job was in 2007 for the renowned Microsoft Corporation in the USA. There he worked as a program manager. Though that was a good and well-paid job, he left the job after one year and started to follow his goals. At the age of 24, he wanted to start a business dedicated to e-commerce.

After that, he started meeting people and businessmen who wanted to set up a new business and expand their grounds. He also went to the University of Delhi to understand the needs of the young generation. He launched his first project website, “searchmycampus.com” in January 2008 with an investment of 25 lakhs. It was made to give different facilities to college students.

He expanded that, and after some years, he registered his company as Valyoo Technologies in June 2008. But in the month of December, the same year, he closed that company and started to focus on his initial goal to set up a new brand in the market. 

He started the first store of Lenskart in November 2010 with his co-founders Sumeet Kapahi and Amit Chaudhary in New Delhi. Peyush Bansal started to gain customers across the country. Then, they launched the website Lenskart.com which has 49 offline stores across India.

At present, Lenskart is a famous company when it comes to eyewear solutions.
