Shiva Rajkumar’s Vedha: The Brutal 1960s, on Big Screens this December

Filmmaker Harsha A and Shiva Rajkumar are coming together once again to bring an exciting story, “Vedha: The Brutal 60s” to their audience. The release date of the movie has already been announced, and the audience will be able to watch it in theatres on December 23, 2022.

The announcement was shared on Twitter by Shiva Rajkumar, the caption for which read,

“The bloody chapter of the hunter…#VEDHA releasing on 23rd DECEMBER 2022.”

The release of this movie is a milestone for actor Shiva Rajkumar as it would be his 125th film and the first movie as a producer. The movie Vedha is the fourth movie after Bhajarangi, Vajrakaya, for which Harha A and Shiva Rajkumar have come together.

The first look poster of the movie Vedha was also released by the makers, which read, “Head to the bloody chapter of war hunter, Hunt begins this Christmas.”

A couple of months ago, the official trailer of the movie was released on social media platforms. You can watch the trailer below,

The audience can get a glimpse of the movie in this 1 minute 26 seconds trailer. Not much can be understood from the trailer except that it is a period-action drama. Its set in a small village where Shiva Rajkumar is seen in complete black attire sitting in a chair in front of two people who are probably being punished for something.

Harsha A announced the making of Vedha in March last year. The movie’s production was delayed when the Kannada film industry lost a gem – Puneeth Rajkumar; Shiva Rajkumar lost his brother. However, the production of the movie began in December 2021.

The movie has been made under the banner of Zee Studios and Geetha Pictures. Besides Vedha, Shiva Rajkumar will also be seen in a key role in Rajnikanth’s movie – Jailer, which is to be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
