Indian Idol is a reality television singing competition show which was first aired in the year 2004. The show enables talented singers from all over the country to showcase their talent on the national platform. This show is one of the most popular singing reality shows on television. Indian Idol Season 12 Auditions
Due to Covid-19, they conducted digital auditions this year. The auditions are started in July and the contestants have to submit their singing video on the SonyLiv app so that they can be selected for the next round. After the procedure of selection, the chosen ones were called to Mumbai for the studio round.

Anjali Gaikwad
She was born in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra on 28 February 2006. Her father’s name is Angad Gaikwad. She has an interest in music from a young age and she is a well-known music composer as well as a singer. Anjali has an elder sister Nandini Gaikwad who is also a playback singer. She started singing professionally after participating in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2017 at the age of 11.
Sawai Bhatt
He was born in Gachchipura, a small village in Nagaur, Rajasthan. He has a younger sister. Sawai was always fond of singing. He wants to become a puppeteer just like his father.
He had some financial barriers hence he never officially trained as a singer but on Indian Idol 12, he was heavily praised by Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar. Before this, Sawai also participated in Indian Idol 10 but was eliminated.
Shanmukha Priya
She was born in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh to a Hindu family. She did her schooling at Sri Chaitanya Techno School and from a young age, she started singing. She participated in the singing reality television show Zee Telegu Saregamapa Lil Champs in the year 2008. Over the years she participated in various reality singing shows
where she strengthened her career as a singer. She participated in the famous Telugu show Super Singer Season 9. She gains more popularity when she participated in the mainstream television show, The Voice of India, Kids, in the year 2017.
Pawandeep Rajan
He was born on 27th July 1996 in Champawat, Uttrakhand. His father Suresh Rajan is a renowned and famous Kaumani folk singer. He did his primary education at University Senior Secondary School, Champawat. Pawandeep has done his graduation from Kumaun University, Nainital.
He made his singing career and television debut with the singing reality show, The Voice of India in the year 2015. Pawandeep auditioned for the show, The Voice of India and was selected in team Shaan. He performed incredibly well in that show and he made it into the finals. He won that show title with an amount of 50 lacs rupees as a cash prize, a car, and a singing contract with a music organization.
Sireesha Bhagavatula
She was born on 9 September 1996 in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. She completed her schooling at Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar. In 2004 she first time participated in a reality show. Sireesha completed her graduation from Narayana Junior College and she was also a lecturer in a college for a while.
She participated in the Tamil language reality singing competition show Super Singer 6, aired on Vijay TV in the year 2018. She composed the song “Mann Mauj Mein” alongside AR Rahman for the Amazon Prime series “Harmony with A. R Rahman”.
Ashish Kulkarni
He is an Indian Idol 2020 Season 12 contestant who is 26 years old from Pune, Maharashtra, India. It took 10 years to complete his training in Indian classical music. He is a songwriter whose songs are available on platforms JioSaavn, YouTube, Gaana, etc. Ashish completed his primary education from SPM English Secondary School and graduated from BMCC College. Alongside composing tunes, he plays in different music groups around the country like High Spirits Hard Rock Café, Blue Frog, and many more.
Nihal Tauro
He was born on 21 February 2000 in Moodbidri, Mangalore, India. He is a composer, playback singer, and songwriter. From a young age, he started singing. Nihal participated in various music reality shows like Daijiworld Studio Voice, Zee SaReGaMaPa Kannada, and many more. He completed his primary education and now he is pursuing his graduation in Bachelor of Commerce. Nihal performed in many musical stage shows in India as well as in the nations like Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Vaishnav Girish
He was born on 21 June in Kodungallur, Kerala. He got training in Indian music and has been training since the age of six. He has also won the Malayalam Singing reality show Surya-Singer 2. Vaishnav won the CBSE State Kaaprathibha title for two consecutive years of 2013 and 2014. He managed to get 1st prize for Light Music in State School Youth Festival held at Kannur, Kerala in the year 2017.
Mohd. Danish
He was born in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh on 15th October 1996. His family has an impressive musical background. He has been trained under his grandfather, Ustad Abdul Karim Khan. Mohd. Danish also practiced classical music. He became famous in the reality singing competition show ‘The Voice’ where he was under the guidance of Indian singer Neeti Mohan who was one of the judges in that show. His versatile voice made him the center of attraction in that show.
Nachiket Lele
He was born on 28 November 1996 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Hindu family. He is a son of Shreeniwas and Ashwini Lele. Nachiket completed his primary education in Mumbai in the year 2016 then he went to study BSE in Aeronautics. Nachiket is also interested in aircraft building, He is a talented singer. He is a born singer and appeared in many reality shows. He was the winner of Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2017-2018. After winning that show he got famous and earned a huge fan following.
Anushka Banerjee
She was born in Kolkata, West Bengal and she is an Indian playback singer. She completed her primary education at Carmel High School, Kolkata. After that, she moved to Mohali for higher studies. Anushka recognized her singing talent at a very young age. She performed on numerous college programs. She was seen for the 1st time on television in the singing reality show Zee Bangla “SaReGaMaPa Little Champs” in the year 2013.
Sayli Kishor Kamble
She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra in a middle-class family and her father is an ambulance driver. Sayli Kishor is also known as a famous Marathi singer she performed in many stage shows in Mumbai. Sayli started her training in Indian classical music from a young age. She completed her post-graduation from Mumbai University. She participated in the show ‘Voice of India’, Mummy Ke Superstars’ and many more.
Arunita Kanjilal
She is from Kolkata, West Bengal, and was born in the year 2003. She did her schooling at St. Xavier’s School, Kolkata. From the age of four, she started her training in classical music and she took her initial training from her maternal uncle and later she went for further training from Ravindra Ganguly of Pune. She was the winner of the Regional Bangla show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs in the year 2013 which was telecasted on the Zee Bangla. She also participated in the national reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in the year 2014 which was telecasted on Zee TV.
Indian Idol 2021 Expected winner
By observing the contestants, Pawandeep Ranjan is showing his versatility and unique style of singing with so many musical instruments. He is the strongest contestant in the top 13. I think Pawandeep is going to win the show but the decision is still on the votes and marks of judges. So we have to wait till the finale. In a nutshell, Indian Idol is the best platform to outshine talented singers no matter what caste, and religion they belong to. This platform always brings the best talent across the country. Judges of Indian Idol gives the best guidance’s to the contestant so that they can improve their skills. They don’t compare the contestant on the behalf of poor or rich.
