Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc (Season 3) Release Date, Cast, and Characters

In April 2023, the highly anticipated anime blockbuster Demon Slayer made its triumphant return with Season 3. The plot has an entirely new narrative based on the Swordsmith Village arc from the original manga.

What is the Plot of Demon Slayer Season 3?

• In the aftermath of the Entertainment District battle, Tanjiro recovers at Hashira Headquarters.

• Muzan Kibutsuji sends demons Gyokko and Hantengu on a new mission.

• Tanjiro heads to Swordsmith Village, meeting the Love and Mist Hashiras. He gains a new scent detection power, but Hantengu and Gyokko attack.

• Tanjiro, Nezuko and Genya face Hantengu, who splits into personas representing emotions. Love Hashira Mitsuri joins and a fierce battle ensues.

• Genya regains humanity and helps Tanjiro.

• Muichiro defeats Gyokko and confronts his past. The Love Hashira’s powers turn the tide and Hantengu is cornered.
