Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians in the VIVO IPL 2021 opener game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Mumbai Indians (MI) set a target of 160 Runs for Royal Challengers Banglaore (RCB) in the opening game of the Twenty-20 VIVO IPL match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
RCB came up with a new opening pair this season with Virat Kohli and Washington Sundar. The team lost W. Sundar pretty early and then Kohli and Maxwell steadied the ship for RCB side, with Kohli getting 33 Runs of 29 Balls and Maxwell smashed, 39 Runs of 28 Balls.
The 360 degree and Mr. Dependable for the RCB side once again proved why he is the best, AB de Villiers played a match winning knock of 48 Runs of 27 Balls smashing the ball all around the park.
Whereas for Mumbai Indians (MI), Chris Lynn played a brilliant inning of 49 Runs off 35 Balls with Surya Kumar Yadav (31 Runs) and Ishan Kishan (28 Runs) chipped in to take the MI total to 159 Runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Harshal Patel was the star performer of the match taking 5 wickets and running through the MI innings.
