Independence Day, as you all know is celebrated across nation on 15th August every year. India was declared independent of the British rule and Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of our independent nation. Jawahar Lal Nehru hoisted the Indian flag at the Red Fort on 15th August, 1947 for the very first time in the Indian history.

People from around the world celebrate Independence Day and pay tribute to our soldiers who gave away their life to let India be an independent country.
