‘Sister Wives’ Returns to Screens with Season 17 this September

Sister Wives is a famous American reality television show that was first broadcast of TLC in September 2010. The show gives a glimpse into the lives of a polygamist family of Kody Brown, his four wives, and their 18 children. When Sister Wives was first telecasted, it fascinated the world when they saw a polygamous family, stirring the emotions of millions while getting mixed feedback.

Season 6 premiered the most episodes of this show which was 20. Although the show gained recognition because it was about a polygamous family, they soon began living monogamously in the later seasons.

Kody’s wives are Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Roby. Kody is legally married to Robyn and considers his relationship with other wives to be a spiritual one. He lives with his wife Robyn, while the other wives live separately in rented homes.

The latest trailer of Season 17, released lately, reveals that Christine wants to leave the patriarch. She and Kody are seen having an emotional conversation where she says that it was heart-breaking for her to take this decision, but she had to go ahead with it because she wanted to be an equal wife in the family. Kody is also furious and says that Christine never tried to have a good relationship with the others in the family.

The clip also shows what the other wives have to say about Christine leaving the family. Meri considers Christine a good friend to her and not just a sister or wife. Robyn, on the other hand, decides to stay out of this.

Season 17 will see Christine leaving the patriarch despite Kody trying to convince her to stay back. She feels Kody gives more importance to Robyn. According to the trailer, Kody is also having a serious conversation with Janelle, none of who is on the same page as the other.
