The War of Fair Prices is the name of LensKart’s first advertising campaign.
The advertisement aims to highlight LensKart’s inexpensive frames with a unique twist. In contrast to most advertisements, which feature the protagonist being impressed by cheap pricing, this one features Johar, who is a prominent figure, feeling demoralized by the prices at which the products are offered.
The advertisement has Karan Johar pleading with Bansal to raise the cost of LensKart’s options so he can display the eyewear.
Karan says “I can’t be seen wearing glasses under Rs 1 lakh,”.

The opening scene of the 40-second commercial shows Johar leaving a home party and walking onto a balcony as he calls Peyush and informs him that he is at the “pre-party of an after-party.” Bansal responds, “Of course!”
Johar goes on to describe how everyone at the party was impressed with his glasses and enquired as to if he had launched his own premium line.
Bansal chuckles at this and asks Johar for assurance that he must have been telling the truth. Immediately following Bansal’s query, there is an unsettling quiet.
In the third ad, we see Karan Johar calling Peyush to inquire about storing his most recent and expensive Lenskart purchase at his residence.
The camera pans out to reveal Karan’s flat filled out with Lenskart glasses.
The team’s distinctive approach is evident throughout the campaign, which was put together by Tanmay Bhatt, Puneet Chadha, Devaiah Bopanna, Deep Joshi, and Vishal Dayama. Tanmay Bhat is credited for conceptualizing the ad, which features his distinctive style of humor.
