Jai Bhim becomes First Indian Movie to be Featured on Oscars 2022 YouTube channel

The 2021 Indian Tamil legal drama attracted a large audience and impressed them with its unique tribal story. The story is focused on a true incident back in 1993, which features Justice K Chandru fighting a case for tribal couple Sengeni and Rajakannu. 

When Rajakannu gets arrested by the police and later goes on missing from police custody, Sengeni seeks help of an advocate Chandru to get justice for her husband. To ensure that the couple gets justice, he files a habeas corpus case.

Jai Bhim was released on 2 November 2021, and the film received a huge round of applaud from critics based on its storyline, performances, direction, and social message. Presently, it is the highest-rated movie i.e., 9.5/10 on IMDb. 

Chandru won the case, and the Irular tribe campaigns against the injustice that had happened. Mythra finds Iruttappan and Mosakutty and presented testimony, explained the torture they went through in the police custody and how the police killed Rajkannu. Rajkannu’s corpse was found, there were a set of tire marks. After getting pieces of evidence for Rajakannu’s murder, the court has given a verdict to arrest the police officer, and Sengeni will get Rs. 3 Lakh and half land. Sengeni thanks Chandru for his help and attends the inauguration of Sengeni’s new house.
