Hocus Pocus: Sanderson Sisters are Back With their Mischievous Magic this Halloween

A group of teenagers has revived the Sanderson sisters by the lightning of The Black Flame Candle, and they are now back in Salem to wreak havoc on Halloween Day.

At their D23 Expo, Disney revealed their latest trailer of Hocus Pocus 2 as a part of their Friday Live-Action Panel. Bette Midler as Winifred, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah, and Kathy Najimy as Mary are back as the witches in Hocus Pocus 2.

Hocus Pocus 2 Trailer

The latest trailer shows the origin of the famous Salem witches, taking the audience back to when the Sandersons were little kids. Several official pictures have been released earlier that have already given the audience a hint about how the movie is going to be about.

Like the original Hocus Pocus of 1993, the Black Flame Candle has drawn the witches to the modern day, submerging them in a new quest. There are several comic moments as the Sandersons sisters try to adapt to the new ways of the modern world. The audience also gets a glimpse of Doug Jones’ Billy Butcherson’s revival. The trailer is available on all leading social media platforms, including YouTube.

The movie is set for release on Disney+. Since its release, Hocus Pocus has always been a preferred movie for Halloween, and this new sequel has given the fans a fresh story to watch this Halloween.

Hocus Pocus 2: Cast

Most of the original cast, including the lead cast of Sanderson witches of Hocus Pocus will be seen in the sequel. Max Dennison, played by Teenage Omri Katz in the 1993 version, will not be seen in this latest movie. Omri, who is now 46, revealed that,

he was sad, not to be reprised in his old role but was excited for Hocus Pocus 2 and is looking forward to watching it soon.

Like Omri, Director of Hocus Pocus 1993, Kenny Ortega, too, was not asked to direct the sequel. The movie will have many new faces including,

  • Hannah Wasddingham
  • Tony Hale
  • Sam Richardson
  • Lilia Buckingham
  • Whitney Peak
  • Doug Jones
  • Belissa Escobeda
  • Taylor Henderson
  • Juju Brener
  • Nina Kicthen
  • Froy Guiterrez
