American country pop vocalists and songwriters duo Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney will be making history as they join The Voice Season 25 as the first-ever duo-coaches. The announcement was made on February 12, 2024, just a couple of weeks before the show premiere.
Dan and Shay began their journey together after they met at a party in Dan’s house in 2012. Their first work was for Rascal Flatts, and they soon received many offers from famous music publishing companies. They have won many awards, including several Grammy Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and more.
The Voice makers have customized a special double chair for the duo. This creative seating arrangement demonstrates the show’s dedication to accepting change and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both coaches and competitors. The energy of Dan and Shay on stage makes them a powerhouse in the music industry. With chart-topping hits and accolades, the duo continues to leave an indelible mark on the hearts of fans worldwide.

Along with Dan and Shay, who will be making their debut as coaches this season, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Reba McEntire will be seen coaching the participants. Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan will not be returning as coaches for this season. Carson Daly will be returning for Season 25 to host the show – the former MTV VJ has been hosting the show since Season 1.
