It is a comical misadventure where Neal tries to get home in Chicago for Thanksgiving.

Neal is trying to get home to his family, but fate seems to be a little cruel in allowing him to reach them on time before Thanksgiving. He is barraged with a series of misfortunate events that always seem to have Del involved in it somehow.

Richard Herd, Laila Robins, Dylan Page, Michael McKean, Larry Hankin, and Diana Dill are seen performing various roles in this movie along with the lead protagonists. With exceptional performances and a beautiful soundtrack featuring country, classic pop, and rock and roll, the movie was critically acclaimed and has gained a huge fan base since its release.

After receiving 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and an average of 7.9 on a scale of 10, the movie has become a heartwarming and hilarious holiday classic since then.
