Leo: Bloody Sweet! Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha are Back Together for a New Action Film

Leo: Bloody Sweet is an upcoming Tamil action thriller with Vijay and Trisha in the lead roles. The movie has been directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and written by Kanagaraj along with Deeraj Vaidy and Rathna Kumar.

The movie is scheduled to be released worldwide on October 19, 2023.

Famous Tamil cinema actor Vijay will be seen as the lead actor, and joining him in the female lead is the beautiful Trisha. The two will be reuniting for the same movie after 14 years – they were last seen together in Kuruvi, which was released in 2008. Vijay will be seen in two different looks in this action movie. 

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will debut in Tamil films as an antagonist in this movie – Antony Das. Actor Arjun (Srinivasa Sarja) will also portray the role of an antagonist in the movie while playing the role of Harold Das. 

Other noteworthy actors who will be seen playing various roles in the film are Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin, Mathew Thomas, Priya Anand, Kiran Rathod, Sandy Master, Babu Antony, Manobala.

The trailer gives you a glimpse into what to expect – there are weapons, soldiers, terrorists, blasts, action, and much more. Actor Vijay is seen delivering the famous dialogue ‘Bloody Sweet!’

Who are the Makers of Leo: Bloody Sweet?

The movie has been written by Lokesh Kanagaraj and directed by him along with Deeraj Vijay and Rathna Kumar. It is a production of Seven Screen Studio, and Palanisamy is the co-producer of the film. Seven Screen Studio is also responsible for the distribution of the movie.

This movie is the second collaboration between director Lokesh and Vijay. The two had come together in 2021 for the movie Master. 

Back in the month of January this year, Lokesh announced this project as ‘Thalapathy 67’ – as this is the 67^th movie of Vijay in the film world. The official name of the movie was confirmed as Leo on February 3, 2023. However, the movie is being marketed as Leo: Bloody Sweet. 

What is the Plot of the Movie?

The story revolves around a simple man who is leading a happy life with his family but is soon forced to confront a violent past after he comes face-to-face with someone from his past life as a gangster.  

It was revealed that there is an intense action scene in the climax between Vijay and Arjun, which was shot for 20 days in Ramoji Film City. The movie has also been shot in Kashmir and Mumbai. 

Leo: Bloody Sweet is the first Tamil film that has made a pre-release recovery of Rs. 422 crore. This has been achieved by sales from digital, satellite, theatrical, and music rights. It will also be dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
