Bollywood is ready for another sports-centric movie to win the hearts of Bollywood fans. Shahid Kapoor is all set to be seen on the big screen with his upcoming movie Jersey, the remake of a Telugu movie with the same name starring Nani. Before Jersey, Bollywood fans have seen Shahid Kapoor in the remake of Arjun Reddy, another regional language movie. The movie Kabir Singh was a huge success at the Bollywood box office, and the directorial team of Jersey is expecting the same success with this one.

Jersey Release date

The film was suppose to get released on 28th August 2020 on the big screen, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the premiere was postponed, and now it is going to release on 14th April 2022. This movie will clash in theatres with KGF chapter 2.

Storyline of Jersey

The storyline of the movie Jersey will follow the same storyline as the Telugu movie with the same name. It is a story of a struggling cricketer Arjun, who is trying his best to be a part of the Indian cricket team. We’ll be able to see the journey of a brilliant cricketer who had to quit cricket due to the politics in Ranji Cricket. We’ll also see amazing chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in this movie. According to the storyline, Arjun had fallen in love with a girl during his Ranji days, and then after quitting cricket, he joined a government job.

Though he got the job because of his brilliant sports skill but lost that after someone submitted a false allegation of bribery against him. As a husband and a father, Arjun was devastated and when his son asked him for a jersey of Indian cricket team, the movie takes an amazing twist.

So, we can expect to watch an emotional roller coaster on the big screen with this movie.
