Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen on the digital platform in the role of a single mother who is involved in a murder. This mystery thriller is an adaptation of a Japanese novel, and the movie has been written and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Along with Kareena, famous actors Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat will also play prominent roles in the film.
The movie has a strong cast, which is why the audience is looking forward to its release.
Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen to play the role of Maya Dsouza, actor Vijay Varma will play the role of Karan Anand, a police officer, while Jaideep Ahlawat will be seen enacting the character of Naren, a teacher and Maya’s neighbor.
Naisha Khanna, Lin Laishram, and Karma Tapaka will also be seen in the movie alongside them.
The story is an adaptation of the Japanese Novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’. Written by Keigo Higashino this novel was published in 2005, and Higashino won several awards and recognition.
Since Jaane Jaan is an adaptation of this novel, the plot may be almost the same.
The story of Jaane Jaan is that of Kalimpong, where Maya is a single mother with a daughter. She somehow gets involved in a murder but is helped by her neighbor with the cover-up. Things do not stay hidden for long, and the police discover the murder – what pursues next is a mystery for the audience to unfold as they watch the movie.

Written by Sujoy Ghosh, the movie is also directed by him along with Raj Vasant. Producers for the film are Jay Shewakramani, Akshai Puri, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, Shobha Kapoor, and Ekta Kapoor. It is a Netflix movie and will be exclusively released on this platform.
