Imlie is hindi television series premiered on Star Plus. The show started on 16 November 2020. Since then, it has been gaining popularity among viewers. The show has Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani in the main leads. The show is produced by very popular and talented Gul Khan and Karishma Jain.
The show is telecasted on Star Plus from Mon-Sat at 8.30 pm and is repeated at Mon-Sat 9 pm.
The story revolves around a smart village girl Imlie and a journalist Aditya. One day, due to heavy rains, they both took shelter in a hut. Due to these circumstances, they both are forced to get married against their wish. Though Aditya brings her along to her house, but introduces Imlie as a house helper. Few days later, Aditya marries his girlfriend Malini.
Gradually, Aditya and Imlie comes close to each other. Their relationship is exposed and everyone comes to know about it. Aditya’s family members refuses to accept Imlie as their daughter-in-law. Malini initially decides to move on but later starts evil activities to get Aditya back into her life.
Imlie struggles to get accepted by family and get some love and acceptance in family and society. She tries to win everyone’s heart and also attempts to make a successful career and stand on her own with an identity in a society.
How Imlie manages to be a great and responsible wife, daughter-in-law along with her growing career is the base of the show.
