Drishyam 2: Ajay Devgn’s House is in Danger; Tabbu and Akshay Will Try to Unravel the Secret

Ajay Devgn, one of the most popular actors in Bollywood, is getting ready to return to the big screen in the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2015 film Drishyam as Vijay Salgaonkar. The movie is titled Drishyam 2, and it will be an adaptation of the 19 February 2021 release of the same name in Malayalam, which stars Mohanlal.

Release Date of Drishyam 2

Ajay announced in February 2022 that Drishyam 2 filming had started in Mumbai. The actor who shared a photo from the shoot asked, “Can Vijay Protect His Family Again?”

The trailer was released on October 17, 2022, and the trailer received a positive response from the audience. The official release date of Drishyam 2 is November 18, 2022. Fans are excited to see what will happen in the sequel.

The Cast of Drishyam 2

Despite the fact that the full star cast has not yet been revealed, rumors suggest that Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta will all be returning to their respective roles from the previous movie.

Ajay Devgn portrays Vijay Salgaonkar, Nandini Salgaonkar is played by Shriya Saran, and Meera Deshmukh, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), is played by Tabu. Anju Salgaonkar, played by Ishita Dutta, is Vijay’s daughter.

This time, Tabbu will be pitted against Ajay (Vijay) (IGP Meera Deshmukh’s son had been killed in the earlier part).

Akshay Khanna, another brilliant actor in the Bollywood industry, has joined the Drishyam 2 cast. He will be seen in the movie as a cop. As Khanna has been absent from the big screen for a while, fans expressed their excitement to see him again.

Producer Kumar Mangat’s son, National Award winner Abhishek Pathak, is directing Drishyam 2. After Nishikant Kamat passed away, he took over as the movie’s director.

The Plot of Drishyam 2

Vijay Salgaonkar, portrayed by Devgn, is a family man whose life is chronicled in Drishyam. He did everything he could to protect his family after an unfortunate incident involving his older daughter brought the police’s attention to them. Meera Deshmukh, the Inspector General of Police, and Akshay Khanna will try to solve the case. Akshay Khanna will be an investigating officer in the film.

In the trailer, we saw Vijay confessing his crimes on the record. This might be his new game, or did the police really find evidence against him? We will have to wait to get all the answers.

The creators have now promised to take the audience on “yet another thrilling journey” in the sequel.

Budget of Drishyam 2

Drishyam 2 began under the production banner of T-Series and Panorama Studios. Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar provided the funding. The total budget of the movie is around 50 Crs. The co-producers of Drishyam 2 are Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey, and Shiv Chanana.
