Bhuj – The Pride Of India Movie Release Date, Story and its Cast

Bhuj – The Pride of India is based on the real life events from 1971, Indo-Pak war. The Bhuj airbase was attacked  by the Pakistan by dropping more than 14 bombs. The only airstrip was destroyed and no Indian Combat Aircraft could take off.

The movie revolves around the story of squadron leader Vijay Karnik (played by Ajay Devgan) who took the help of 300 local women to rebuilt the airstrip and involved local civilians in the war which led India win the war. The movie shows how true patriotism made an impossible task possible when the time was running out of hands and made the airstrip functional within 72 hours. The brave Karnik along with two senior officers, 50 IAF and 60 Defense Security Corps personnel leaded the team and made India won the war against Pakistan.

The movie is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya who has also produced and directed over 20 TV shows like Ehsaas, Agneepath, Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka, Life Ka Recharge and many others.

Bhuj – The Pride of India Release Date on Disney Hotstar

The filmmakers have announced the release date. The movie is all set to release on 13th August 2021 on Disney Hotstar. Earlier, the movie release date was announced as 14th August, 2020 in theaters but due to the pandemic it was postponed as few scenes were yet left to be shot.

The shooting was resumed in November 2020 and completed in March 2021.

Now, the latest release date announced is 13th August 2021 on Disney Hotstar.

The trailer has been released on 12th July 2021 which gives goosebumps. The movie is not only a tribute to brave soldiers but also to local civilians who  played the role of no less than a soldier in making India won the war.
